Laneway Reception was built after watching small clinics lose patients to a ringing phone. Not because they didn't care — because nobody can answer every call. We're a small Melbourne team focused on one job: making sure every patient who picks up the phone gets booked in, day or night, into the calendar you already use.
Why we built it
Around one in four calls to medical practices go unanswered, and most patients who can't get through simply phone the next clinic on the list. For a busy front desk that's not a failure of effort — it's physics. You can't answer three lines at once, take a call mid-treatment, or pick up at 9pm on a Sunday.
Laneway exists to close that gap. It answers every call in a natural, warm voice, books straight into your booking system, and hands your team back the calls only a human should take — with a full recording, transcript and summary of everything else.
